PSJ TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE PURCHASES

By placing an order using this service you are accepting the following Terms & Conditions for purchasing goods online from the PSJ website.


DEFINITIONS 

"Personalised Jewellery" means any item of jewellery that is made or supplied by us to your specifications, including but not exclusively bespoke design, metals, stones or engraving.

"We" and "us" means PSJ Jewellers (the trading name of Herbert J White Jewellers (Southern) Ltd)

"Website" means the website: www.psjyeovil.co.uk 

"You" means the person using the Website to purchase any of our goods online.

"Working days" means all days except  Saturdays,Sundays & English statutory & public holidays.

 

By using the website to buy goods online, you confirm that you are a resident at least 18 years old of the United Kingdom, or that you are placing an order on this website with the consent of your parent or guardian.


ONLINE ORDERING PROCESS

  • An electronic order from you is an offer to purchase goods, which if accepted by us becomes a binding contract and requires that:-
  • We email as soon as possible to acknowledge your order and confirm which goods you have ordered. At this stage no contract is formed between us.
  • When your goods are dispatched we confirm by email. This email formally accepts your order by us and a binding contract then exists between us. We are then obliged to fulfil our contractual obligations.
  • In respect of personalised jewellery: the above does not apply (see below). 

Personalised Jewellery :

  • We confirm your order by email shortly before the date on which your payment will be processed. This email formally accepts your order and a contract between us then exists under which we are obliged to fulfil our obligations. 
  • Your payment will generally be processed within 2 to 3 days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) from the date on which you receive our order confirmation email.
  • When your order is ready for dispatch, we confirm to you by email.

NB: orders will be despatched only when we have authorisation from your payment card issuer. We will inform you as soon as possible if there is any problem with payment authorisation or validation checks for your order. Until payment is authorised we will not accept your order, in which case your delivery may be delayed.

NOTE: we are not obliged to accept your order, and will not accept your order if:-

  • your payment is not authorised
  • we do not have the goods in stock or they appear to be damaged
  • there is an error on our website regarding the price or other details of the goods
  • you have cancelled your order in accordance with the instructions below

If any of the above occurs we will call or email you as soon as possible to discuss your options. We retain the right to refuse any order.


CANCELLED PRODUCTS AND ORDERS

Your payment card will be debited only when your order has been dispatched. If you have placed an order online and you receive a call or an email stating that a product is out of stock or for any other reason that would result in the order being cancelled, no payment will be taken.

Any funds that were pre-authorised when placing an order but not debited due to cancellation by customer will normally be credited to your account within 10 days. Pre-authorised funds are usually released by the card issuer or bank within 3-5 working days.

We accept PSJ gift vouchers only for in-store purchases


CANCELLING AN ORDER BEFORE DiSPATCH

If you change your mind after placing an order, you can cancel it by phoning PSJ on 01935 475936, quoting your name, address and order number at any time before we send you our dispatch email. If you cancel part of an order, the postage and packaging charge may be recalculated on the price of the goods you keep.

NB: the above does not apply to any orders for Personalised Jewellery 

 

RETURNING GOODS AFTER DISPATCH

COOLING OFF PERIOD

When you order from us online, you are entitled to a cooling off period after dispatch of your goods, during which you can return your goods without any charge. Our cooling off period is 30 days from delivery of the goods to you, including any statutory cooling off period.

This period starts immediately the contract is agreed and becomes binding ie. when you receive our Dispatch email. It ends 30 days from the day after delivery of the goods.

NB: Unless it can be shown that we are at fault, the cooling off period does not apply to personalised jewellery or engraved items, or pierced items if packaging has been opened or labels in any way damaged.

 

FAULTY GOODS

In the unlikely event that you receive faulty goods, please immediately contact PSJ Jewellers on 01935 475936 or info@psjyeovil.co.uk


RETURNING A GIFT

Cash refunds for gifts can be made only to the payment card used to purchase the goods. If you buy a gift online, the recipient will not be able to get a cash refund if they want to return the goods. We will however, exchange the unwanted gift for an in-store gift card to its full value provided the goods are returned within the cooling off period.


RETURNING GOODS

If you wish to return goods please call PSJ on 01935 475936: you have a duty to keep them in your possession and to take reasonable care of them until they are returned. Goods must be returned in their original condition and unworn, including labels and immediate packaging, within the cooling off period.

We do not accept refunds or exchanges of pierced items.

Our returns policy does not affect your statutory rights. 


PERSONALISED JEWELLERY ORDERS

Personalised Jewellery ordered to be purchased from our website, will be a piece of jewellery designed or made to your specific requirements (including ring size). Such an order may be cancelled before the time of receiving its email acceptance from PSJ. Once we confirm your order by email, there is a binding agreement between us and the order cannot be cancelled, unless the item is faulty or does not match your specifications.

 

DELIVERY

  • Goods ordered on the PSJ website with a total value of £100 or more (VAT-inclusive) qualify for free delivery. This total may include gift vouchers , engraving or other service but excludes post and packing.
  • Delivery is free to anywhere in the UK but not to the Channel Islands or Eire. 
  • If you cancel part of an order so that its total value falls below £100, free delivery no longer applies.
  • We reserve the right to change or discontinue free delivery at any time.


DELIVERY TIME

An email will be sent by PSJ to you as soon as your goods are dispatched. Standard Delivery should reach you within 2 - 4 days (excluding Sundays). We can however arrange Next Day Special Delivery at £5.00 extra cost if you wish to receive your goods the day following dispatch. 

NB someone will need to sign and accept delivery of Special Delivery items.

If your goods cannot be dispatched until after 2pm on a Friday, it may not be possible to dispatch your goods until the following Monday for Tuesday delivery. We will always endeavour to keep to the timescales indicated, but we cannot be liable for any delays in deliveries arising from factors outside our control.


PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

Some goods shown on our website are not available to buy online; they are however, available to buy in-store at PSJ Jewellers Yeovil BA20 1RE (Tel. 01935 475936)


PAYMENT & PRICING

All prices on the PSJ website are Pounds Sterling and VAT-inclusive and apply only to goods purchased through our website . Prices shown in our store may differ from those on the website. Postage and packing are additional and will be shown separately on our checkout page.

We always aim to ensure that goods shown on our website are currently available at the price shown, but if goods you have ordered online prove to be no longer unavailable as shown, you will be immediately notified.

In the event of discovering a pricing error on our website or in the order, you will be offered the option of buying the goods at the correct price or cancelling the order. If however, we are unable to contact you explaining the error, your order will be cancelled and no payment taken.

Your payment card will be debited for your order on the day that we send you the dispatch email
